Oak Leaf Environmental was called out to inspect an existing radon mitigation system that was installed by another company, as the homeowner had concerns about its performance following a recent sump pump replacement. During our free evaluation, our team discovered that the 20-year-old system was no longer functioning properly, requiring a new high-efficiency radon mitigation fan and several key system upgrades. We provided the customer with a detailed estimate and scope of work to bring the entire setup up to current PA DEP standards. The full replacement and system upgrade are officially scheduled for completion in early September.
The customer contacted Oak Leaf Environmental after radon testing in their three-car detected garage showed elevated levels of 12.8 pCi/l. During the site visit, we evaluated the garage layout. Based on the construction of the building we developed a plan and provided an estimate for a radon mitigation system designed to effectively reduce radon levels while working with the existing structure.
Every home is different, and this new construction project in Lewisburg PA gave us the opportunity to design a custom radon mitigation system that was both highly effective and visually appealing.
We recently upgraded a passive radon system in a new construction home in Lewisburg, PA. By adding a specialized radon fan to the existing passive vent pipe, we successfully converted the system into an active mitigation setup. This upgrade effectively reduces indoor radon gas concentrations and ensures long-term air safety for the homeowners.
For this project, we installed a standard radon mitigation system to help reduce the home's radon levels and improve indoor air quality. At the homeoener's request, we used black PVC piping and routed the system along the back of the house to provide a clean, discreet appearance. The installation blended seamlessly with the home's exterior, and the customer was extremely happy with both the professional workmanship and the finished product.
